Hosts and Services

Hi

I have installed Nav 3.7 and Nav 5.0 servers on my system.
I changed hosts and services files.

My host file has the following

127.0.0.1 PRODSK0644 #Nav Server 370 for kwiktag
127.0.0.1 PRODSKNAV5 #Nav server 50 for kwiktag

From my system I can connect to both the servers through different clients (3.7 and 5.0) with the server names PRODSK0644 AND PRODSKNAV5.

But I am trying to connect from other machine. I changed the hosts and services in the other machine. While I am trying to connect to the server, It is giving TCP/IP ERROR ETIMEDOUT.

Could you please tell me what is the solution for this

Thanks and Regards
ajay

And have you replaced the 127.0.0.1 with the real IP address inthe host on the other machine?

Yes I did that . I replaced with real address on the client hosts file
but still it is giving the error.

DO I need to enter the actuall address on the server machine hosts file also

You can try. And check the firewall...
