Average cost posted to G/L

Hi all. Using Navision 4.0 SP3 version I see that with a costing method Average, the average price calculated takes into account all entries made in Navision. Is that correct?. Is there a way to avoid this and tell Navision to make calculation from a specific data?.If not I think customers could complain about the cost posted in G/L is not enough reliable because it has into account maybe entries made three or four years ago.

    Is this what you mean ?

    Warehouse -> Setup -> Inventory Setup -> "Average Cost Period" ?

    Yep. I think this option is new in Dynamics 5.0, but in 4.0 SP3 this option does not exist.

    Yes, you are right, this is an 5.0 option. In 5.0 they finally changed how to costing worked and made it more transparant.

    I really agree with you Joeri. Anyway, does anyone know if Navision 4.0 SP3 considers just open account periods to calculate average cost?.
