Dear All,

I have got a user who has posted a great number of invoices with the wrong dimension and would like to have it changed. Is it possible to in a way alter the dimensions?

Just make it clear which dimensions the user posted, i.e. global or shortcut.
If these are shortcut, you can change them over Document dimensions and other related tables like ledger entry dimensions. But make sure you change them from backend in each and every reference document, else the data integrity will be lost.

Any play with table data is unadvisable until and unless there is any dead end.

Actually it's a global dimension. How do you suggest to proceede?

Longer and time consuming way is to rename dimension code.
Rename proper dimension code first, then rename wrong one to proper one and finaly rename proper (first) dimension to wrong one or something else. NAV will modify all related records.

Otherway you have to change data in all related tables (T:17, 110,111,112,113,...)
