    Hi Hemant

Are you trying to install Ax 4.0? If so AOS could be installed only on server operating system (ex Windows Server 2003).

Please refer to the installation requirements.

I have found that you can run an AX4 installation on Windows XP, but you cannot install it directly on to a stand alone XP.

If you can connect a Windows XP PC to a domain, permit a LONG lease on the login credentials for the client PC, carry out the install on to the Windows XP machine - not the domain controller - then disconnect the PC - you can continue to run it on that XP machine, and usually only under the administrator login - any other login will try to refer to active directory on the domain controller and fail.

If you only have access to a stand alone XP computer, you have a problem. If you have access to Virtual Server and/or Virtual PC, you could use those, but you need access to properly licensed operating systems to make it all work properly.

I have two VPC's provided by a Dynamics AX ISV that works in this way.
