Hi all.

I am new with navision environment.

I read a document on How to create an application using Navision Application Server!!!

they mentioned that i need to Install Navision Server first, then install Navision Application Server (NAS).

What is the difference between NAS and Navision Server?
Can i download trial version for both of them and where?

Looking forward for your reply and thanks in advance

Best Regards

    They are two different things.

The NAV Database Server is the proprietary DBMS (Database Management System) for NAV. It is the server that stores the database and provides the backend for the native C/SIDE client.

NAS (or NAV Application Server) is a NAV client without a user intefrace that is installed as a Windows Service. It is used to execute NAV client functionality automatically. You can have NAS running on either the native NAV Database Server or on SQL Server.
