How to see change in released production-orders?
When a production order is released, we print it and give it to production to produce the order.
When there is a new sales order for the same item and the same delivery date, Navision will after running MPS/MRP change the released production order.
How can you make that change visible?
F.e. first they had to make 2 pcs. We print the PO (2 pcs) and give it to the production.
Then there is a new demand. After running MPS/MRP Navision will change the released production order in 3 pcs. How can we tell the production that they have to make 1 pcs more?
For us it is no option to change the planning flexibility into none.
Is this problem familiar to anyone? Please help. Now we have a very big workarround.....

If you run MPS/MRP on a released production order you get an action message "Change quantity". So you can see that a change is needed and then you can reprint the production order and change the document in the production.
This is more of an routine question then a navision question. What you should do is to release the production orders as late as possible so that changes in quantity is made in status "Firm planned" instead of in status "Released". Changes on released production orders should not be done on a daily basis but only in some rare cases._____________________

Sorry do you want to accept the change and pass this information to the shop floor or do you want to leave current production where it is and plan for the difference?
Part of this will depend upon your planning setup, yes you can set the planning flexibility on the production line, depends what you want to achieve. The art of teaching is clarity and the art of learning is to listen0 -
The problem is that we deliver on very short notice. We start producing one day in front of delivery. We gather all PO's for delivery tomorrow (we change status to released).
Customers can however order till 2 hours before delivery. We sell quite standard products, so the demand for items we made released PO's, changes.
To give an idea: we have an average of 200 saleslines a day and 130 PO's a day.
Because the deliverytime is very short, and there are so many PO's, we don't check the MPS/MRP. We just accept it.
The problem is changing quantity of released PO's. When the quantity is changed of firm planned PO's, it's no problem. The shop floor is not yet working on them.
Maybe it would be an option if only the planning flexibility of released PO's would be none. But this is not standard Navision; where would we have to make code change?0
