Qty to ship blanks/empty. Why?

Hi!

In one of our NAV 4.03 installations the users claim that in a sales order the field 'Qty to ship' is blanked without any reason. Normally it contains as defaulf the value from the field Quantity.

Do anyone have an idea why? We cannot reproduce it....

Probably due to some edited objects.. Perhaps your client did some adjustments themselves?
Do you have the exact same objects as your client?

Ask the user to duplicate the problem for you while you watch over his/her shoulder. You'd be surprised by how many of the problem is user made.

check if he did change something in the location or the warehouse setup such as "require ship" or receive

It is also possible that the location code has been setup to use warehouse shipments. In this case (I think) the "Quantity to Ship" is blanked.
