Does anyone have information on the requirement for a localized Navision in Italy. Is is OK to run the international version without modification or is there some specific issue with this?

I'm not too worried about the language as this can be applied seperately.

Thanks
Andy

    Hi Andy,

I cannot comment on the specifics of the Italian version, but when I used to do localised GB versions for a W1 the main issues surrounded the VAT (tax) requirements. These can/could be supplied by the NTR for the region.

So in answer to your question:

I would doubt that you could run the international version without modifying for the local taxation rules .

No Italy has a number of very specific statutory tax requirements, that are not included in the W1 version. I was looking for the list that we used for one of our clients, but I don't have it anymore. Sorry I can't help you there...

    Hi Andy,

International version needs some modification to be run in Italy.
Vat (for example) needs some particular value, G/L must be adapted to the business you are working with, WIP costing it's different.......
Our financial law has some differences from Navision standard setup.

If you need information about particular granules or functionalities, write me.

    Have a nice time

I understand our corporate finance people will take a meeting with KPMG or some such in Italy to descide what we will do inside Navision and what will be handled manually.

depending on the outcome of those talks I may take up your offer Alberto

    Thanks Again
