I get a load of spam on my blog as well ... . Mainly (actually only) on the comments-part. I configured it so that no-one can post anonymously, so none of the comments get published, but I get about 10 attempts a day... .
There is nothing to configure on trackbacks, an apparently, there is a new way to spam through trackbacks... . I got a trackback on one of my posts, and if you click it ... it's rubbish, adware, spyware, all that sh*t ... .

In the beginning I got a lot of spam, but I implemented my things from the beginning (see my blog) and the latest weeks I don't get any spam anymore. It seems they see they have no success, so they quit spamming me.... I hope....

I have removed the spam blogs, and blocked the IP-address.
Yes, I could make the blog section a on-demand-only section, where people should ask first if they could get a blog.
PS: I receive a confirmation mail when a new blog is created. But if no postings has been made yet, I can't know if it's a spam blog or not. I'll modify the http://www.mibuso.com/blogs page, that only blogs with at least one posting (besides the default one) are listed.

This is not spam! It's a great picture site. I've never seen this before!
