Lanham "DATACAPTRECEIVE" miniform

Can anyone tell me what this miniform is used for? It appears (on the surface) that it allows receipt from a handheld without referencing a PO. When I looked into it though, it just seems to feed a table that looks like a holding tank, but I can't tell whether that information is able to be imported into another document (like possibly used to create a new PO) elsewhere in the system.
