Has anyone had an experience creating an outbound 855 from Lanham's EDI Gen2 system? I have several customers that are requiring this document but the examples that came with the system do process to the extent that our customers are asking for.
Below is one example of the requirements for one of the segments:
Example: ACK*IA***068*20000720
Where element 01 = IA, it could be any of the following:
“IA” – Item Accepted
“IC” – Item Accepted, Changes made (item #, price)
“IR” – Item Rejected
“ID” – Item Deleted
I don't know how to get this kind of detail into these documents.
Any help????? ](*,)

You'll have to add a field called EDI Item Status on the lines so when you click send 855, it'll export this new field as well. The tradeoff is that this will be very time consuming for the data entry clerk.

By chance, do you know of an EDI option outside of Lanham for NAV??

We are using NAV 3.6 and I am not sure how XML plays into 3.6. As Alex stated we are looking for more flexibility.
Take a look at what Commerce Gateway offers. You basically deal with xml documents and EDI to xml are handled by Biztalk.

I wonder if Lanham has an add-on to help process the next level of EDI. It is hard for me to believe that an EDI program is purely just import/export of flat files. We should have the ability to be more Dynamic. :-s
If you are using bizconnect, you could just integrate it with Navision, or set it up to work with Commerce Gateway. You don't have to use Biztalk.

They haven't changed it for a while.
A lot of people have asked them to separate E-ship and EDI, they haven't done that.

I realize this thread is quite old now, but I am having the same issue. I am mapping an 855 for Amazon, and they need to know in the BAK segment if the order shipped "WITH detail and change" or "with detail and NO change" as compared to the original 850.
Is there some field already built into lanham or NAV that tracks whether there were changes made to quantity or price on the sales order?
Thanks,
Scott
The latest version of EDI from Lanham has this.
