well, most of them are limited preview - which usually means, that chapters/pages are skipped.

however, it's good to have a preview before buying a book.

Exactly! At least you know if the book has the content that you're looking for before you buy it. A problem not had if you're getting it at the store but for online buying, I can see how it can be very useful.
