The Navision Application Server could not initialize

Dear All,

I am facing problem relating NAS Configuration. i have installed NAS Server from Product CD and It is sucessfully working with windows authentication but i am trying to configure it by using DB Login on Command Prompt. As a result of this following error message is shown.

ERROR MESSAGE: ](*,)

- 6:04:20 PM: The Navision Application Server NASSer could not initialize properly.
6:04:20 PM: The server will attempt to initialize every 30 seconds until this is successful.


Please help me out

    the NAS is an windows service, so it can only login per windows authentification.
    Also add this windowsuser in your database and give them the permissions
    Do you make it right, it works too!

    Yeah I just don't think there's any way to get NAS to use DB authentication....but if you figure something out...definately post how you got it to work!

    NAS runs as a Windows service, and therefore must have a valid Windows user assigned to it. There are no parameters for login and password information, so there is no other choice but to use Windows Authentication for NAS. I've even seen customers add the local system account as a valid NAV user :mrgreen:

    You can type in SYSTEM while creating a windows user. Never used it.

    Yes I am dead serious, and set up that way by people who are quite senior #-o
