Hi Experts,
Has anyone tried to setup ODBC for Native database, which is located on remote machine (to make it harder, without using Navision Application Server)?
Should you be selecting Local or Server?
If local, should you enter database with full location, for example: \\server\drive\folder\database.fdb?
Or should you use server? Than database field becomes grey, and you cannot browse for database.
What about client? Should we point to local client directory, or to remote servers directory through mapped drive?
Can it be done at all?
Every ideas are welcomed. Thanks.

Yes, you are right.

Apparently. If you use navision ODBC (for version 4 and above) you do not have to point to client folder anymore. And as for other details: if you are using server - you need to enter only server name (database field you can leave empty).
And if you are able to select company from a list by clicking on Company button, it means your nodbc is working fine (which was my initial problem).
