We are using SQL Database....but every time we conncet to the SQL SERVER...the performance is very slow...why is that happen..do I need to Adjust/increase the OBJECT CACHE in NAV or It is the SQL server. Hoping for your reply
1) If you want some answer, you need to get us much more details - about Hardware, versions of SW (SQL version, NAV version)
2) Performance on SQL with NAV is one big area of expertise. If you go through the threads about it on this forum, you can create some image of what is needed for you...
Fist, check why the system is slow (you can check this, f.e. with Perfmon, SQL Profiler, also take a look to you C/AL Code, Indexstrukture, SIFTs).
When you not know, wich counters (perfmon, sql profiler) you must add, sear ch the forum. Under "SQL Performance" and "SQL General" there are many topics about this thema.
But for more infomation, we need more detail about your problem(s)
