Multilanguage 4.03

BVGBVG Member Posts: 18
Hello,

I have done a few projects for upgrading earlier versions to 4.0 for multilanguage enabling. For which all the steps were followed from upgrade toolkit.

As per my knowledge goes , all the versions after 3.7 are multilanguage enabled, but the question is that one of our customers has bought one other language , but how should I make it available for the customer?

Do we have to use NLW or same steps as in upgrade toolkit?

Many Thanks.

    1) Standard fields can be translated by importing the .flm file for the language (you can download the language pack from partner source).
    2) Customized/new fiels must be translated manually or by using the NLW or another tool.

    Thank you for the reply.
I will look for the .flm in the partnersource.

Can we get the data also translated in that language.

    Thanks.

And how you want to translate the data? For NAV it is nothing with meaning. Data must be translated manually and not everywhere you have possibility to define translations (e.g. just Item has the Item Translation in NAV 4.00, in never versions there are translations for much more tables).

    Thanks again Kine.

I also thought that data can not be translated, but wanted to confirm.
