May be a stupid question. I was wondering if it is possible to use HOTCOPY of the 3.70-CD for a 2.60 database. I noticed that there was not a HOTCOPY on the 2.60-CD.
I tried this also, and i managed to do so.
Here are my tricks:
Install a navision 3.70 server with a dummy 3.70 database.
This database doesn't have to be usefull, but be sure that it contains a username with superuser rights. For example "dummy"
I had the 3.70 server run as a service.
Be sure that hotcopy is in the same directory as the server program.
Open a dosbox in that directory and type for example
hotcopy source=c:\nav260data\live.fdb destination=c:\destinationdir user=dummy
rem. The user "dummy" doesn't have to be a user in the livedatabase.
I hope this is usefull.
Succes.
