How much space you have for your TempDB? How many Fixed Assets you have in your DB?

On drive C: is the operating system too, isn't it?
How much free space you have on the C: ?

I assume that if you have 5GB RAM free it means you have 6 or more GB of RAM. Are you using all the needed options like /PAE and /3GB for the OS and /AWE on the SQL server?

The Tempdb needs to be on its own spindles, or at least on the data drives. You will need to ive it as much room as it needs. From the sound of it you need to run that batch periodically, so you will need to make sure that there is enough disk space to hold the database.
