Hello All,

I have something extremely stupid somehow and locked only log-in out of Navision - and this holds all of my development for the last few weeks.

I have no other log-in to use.
All I get now is "cannot access main menu"

How do I access my forms, tables etc?

HELP Please......

David

Can you atleast take the backup of the database???? if yes then take the backup of the database and as soon as you restore it ,goto permissions and set urself as super user (dont close the database till you set ur permissions).

    hope this helps !

It sounds like you deleted the main menu form from the object designer. Confirm this by checking in the object designer. For us this would be form #330. If you have another copy of the database, just export this object and import it into your development database through the object designer.

    Hi all

I have somehow changed my own log-in permissions to one that cannot get into anything including backups, restore and security.

I have done so much work and dont even have a super user password.

Surely there must be a way of overcoming this?

I did actually take a backup of this database when backing up other database's on Friday afternoon.

This has now been restored and I have logged on fine.

    Thanks for your help.

My research into this matter has led me to believe that if you have completely forgot your log-in or it has become corrupt?? the only method is to type in ? 20 times in the user name box and get a password code from your Navision centre.

I can't verify that as I luckily haven't had to go down that route.

For lost forgotten logins the '????...' is correct, but what hasn't been mentioned, there is also a charge for using this get out, not sure what the cost is?
Answer the question and wait for the answer.

you should have at least ONE other user in your database with the supervisor-rights, because navision will not allow User-rights enabled (automaticaly the first user gets a group), and there is NO User with the group SUPER.
