Service Tax On Advance Payment

Dear All,
The Scene is Advance Payment Made in the month March. Purchase Invoice booked in the month of April. After booking the purchase invoice from vendor ledger entry when we apply payment with invoice, corresponding service tax entries are posted in the system but when the
ST3 & Input Credit Register is checked; the credit is shown in the month of March instead of April.
Can anyone help me on this.
