Only in 4.0 SP1 or higher.

You can make a technical update to a higher Version of Dynamics NAV. Install the newer Client and just convert the database with the new Client. Than you can use your old database and within the new funcionality of findfirst....

if you want to do a technical upgrade (executables upgrade), better wait until 5.0 SP1 is released.
