hi
Is there any way to open a excel from navision ,at a specific location in the system and update it with nav data .

If you have i.e. c:\text.xls you can open it with HYPERLINK('c:\test.xls');
Update an Excel-document with NAV-data? You could use odbc.
It depends on what information has to be in the Excel-file. Only NAV-data?
Why do you need to go to Excel?

Yes for sure, just have a look at report 29 Export Acc. Sched. to Excel.
this report enables you to update an existing excel file.

We developed a solution ReportX for this. See my signature.
You could change the way the style sheet tool works to get the same result, for this you need to understand more about the way the xml file is translated into a doc or xls.
