Permission to right-click

AlishaAlisha Member Posts: 217
Hi,

I have an end user that cannot right-click the mouse in V5 to see the submenu (the one with the option Send to Shortcuts). I don't know which permission he needs to see this, as other users in the database with SUPER role can do it.. anyone knows?

Thanks

If the users has a list form open (e.g Purchase Order List form) the right-clicking is disabled. Have you tried closing all open forms/reports and then right-clicking?

May not be your problem, but I have found this to be true.

Thanks, but i can test it cos it's a client who has the problem. I don't think that's the problem, he says they have tried two different users on the same DB on the same machine, and one can see the menu and the other can't, that 's why I thought it might be a permission problem...

NTAuthentication or DB login? Might try renaming the .zup file if it is localized to one PC... I have not seen any permissions specific to the right-clicking.

There is nopermissions for "right-click". For me it looks like some user mistake or miss-usage. Can you ask your customer for repro-steps? (what exactly is doing to repeat the problem)?

It was my problem too. But now it's solved! :-)
It's easy to test. Close all windows; Then right mouse click and you can create a shortcut.
If you open a vendor-card for example and try to create a shortcut, it will also work.
Now when you open de vendor-list you will not be able to create a shortcut.

Possibly because that form is executed using RUNMODAL. So it is waiting for you to do close that form before you can do anything else.

If you want to make a shortcut to the Vendor List (or any list) or even a specific vendor, you have to use the keyboard shortcut to do this. Ctrl + Alt + S will do that for you.
