Structure Error in Purchase Order???

hi,
one DB is upgraded from 3.7 to 4.0SP2. on thive at upgraded DB when i give the structure in the purchase order then it will not post.it gets error like:
Gen.Posting Type must not be empty in Gen.Journal Line Journal Template Name='',Journal Batch Name='',Line No.='10000'.
without structure it was posting perfectly. In which object shall i modify ????

Thanks for ur reply. Both G/L Account properties are same in the version 3.7 as well as 4.0 SP3.
