Requirements Planning Granules

Hi,

I'm a bit confused as to which of the supply planning granules we need - 5810 Supply Planning / 5820 Demand Forecasting.

Basically my client orders in goods from suppliers on the basis of sales orders & sales forecast against current stock and current purchase orders. I'm thinking (and hoping) that I can use the requisition worksheet for this and buy the demand forecasting 5820 granule without needing the 5810 module. I guess what I'm asking is does the Calculate Plan on the requisition worksheet take the production forecast entries into account?

Yes, calculate plan on the requisition worksheet does take production forecast entries into account.

5820 is not the requisition worksheet, this is 5810. 5820 is the actual forecasting, so you can buy 5810 without 5820, in fact 5820 does not have any pre-requisites! There is a price list explanation form with your price list that explains this.
