Some question about Navision Backup

Dear all,
When I want to backup a certain company in the database, then I use the Navision standard function to backup it. Certainly, I backup "Selected Companies",
then there is a checkbox called "Data Common to All Companies".
What does it direct to? Because I cannot find the info at online help.
Does anyone know what it is? :?
