Filtering at FORM level

Our item price table has a high volume of entries in, which is becoming a litte user unfriendly. As we require to keep the prices, I am thinking about controlling this at FORM level.
Similar to the statistics forms, I thought about putting 1,7,31,12 buttons, where when pressed, will cause the form to show the entries from the last day, week, month etc. starting from the LAST price for the item.
Eg if a price was set 01/06/07 then clicking the 1 button today would show the price from 01/06/07, the 7 button would show 23/05/07..01/06/07 etc
Is this an easy acheivable filter?

Yes, this would be a good way to do this. However, since the sales price screen can be entered, the user may leave the filter on while entering new sales price, causing questions like "my entry keeps disappearing!"Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog
