How to Handle Scrap

How do i handle scrap in NAV? During production, any scrap i can handle using Output journal.

But other scenarios(Like FG scrap etc), one thing i can do it create a scrap location and move it. But the issue is that that will be considered during MRP since its just another location for the system.

I had seen reclassification journal, i am not able to move into new item code? Is is that i need to create a new item code and move the scrap quantity using Item journal? Is that the only way?

Please suggest...

If your scenario works pushing scrap to a new location then do this, when you run MRP you just exclude that location from the plan in the generation.

Is it possible to exclude one or more locations during MRP Run?

Also, whats the alternative or the normal practice?
