Client Installation Issue on Windows 2000

When installing the Navision Client, we are running into an issue. The client computers are running Windows 2000, and the end users do not have the rights to install software on thier computers. The administrator logs into the computer and installs the client software (he has all rights on the cpu). When the user then logs in, they are then prompted for the installation disk. The system then runs through some installation procedure...sometimes. On some systems, the user recieves a windows installer error (I assume, since they do not have admin priveledges, they are not able to complete the installation). Are theer files that are specific to each user...that need to be installed for every user? How can I get around this? I do not want to have to labor through adding the user to the admin group, and then installing the software with thier user name, and then remove them from the admin group. This also takes away the roaming profiles feature in Windows 2000.

I did have a similar problem but I found I was able to change it by modifying the permissions to the c: drive on each machine.

I'm not sure the 'citrix' problem mentioned above is what you were looking for.

On the next installation, I will try to create a shortcut. Just out of curiosity, where did you change the permissions? I don't know if I want to do this, as the systems are nicely secure right now, but I am just curious which files Navision is trying to access to complete installation.
