It was Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.1
Then it was Microsoft Dynamics NAV "6.0".
--> the quotes indicated it was a codename.
Apparently a codename for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009
I think the internal name will still be version 6. The marketing name is Nav 2009 in keeping with the external marketing conventions for Office products.

That would sound much better than using version numbers. It's also consistent with the naming of other Microsoft products.
i agree with Blackie. By the time it hits the market, if it does, it's definitely gonna be an entire different product than what most of us would imagine.

FIND/REPLACE ALL.
Name changes are nothing. Scope changes are. Until now, not much of the scope has changed ... .
By the way .. there's not really a manual, is there?
Remember when they came out with 'Attain'? I run into a lot of people that call the app lots of different things, with lots of different pronounciations, and NOBODY ever calls it "Attain" anymore.
Maybe we (as in Mibuso/DUG members) should come up with code names for 'the next version'. That way MS can change the name all they want, but we'd still be talking about the same thing.
