BOM with two or more output items?

Hi,

I have a situation where I need to produce many output items from components. There are two possible ways to assembly components in Navision. First place is sales BOM and another is Production BOM but neither of them allows to make x items from x components. Both of them allow to create 1 item from x components. Could someone suggest solution how to solve this problem.

Depending upon your situation set the Production BOM lines to a negative quantity, essentially a by-product out put reporting. This does depend upon your documentation and process requirements. You also have to be sure the costing works for you.

Your alternative is to modify the system to do what you want it to do.

You can use the Families for that in production. You define family (X output items) and they have shared Routing but each line has own BOM...
