Case sensitive Issue

Hi All,

Here i have problem...
i am searching names in my contact list by name wise...

some of my contacts starts with small letter, and some of having Capital letter

for eg:
I want to search ' srinivas'

1) srinivas
2)Srinivas

wen i give small letter in search cretria only contacts are filter starting with
small letter...

How i filter all contacts without Case-sensitive

plz resolve this problem...

I've seen a method in the past where a new field & key was added to a table, lets call it "SearchName". This field was populated automatically when the normal name/description was entered; however the data entered into the 'SearchName' was changed to uppercase.

So...

name = test

Would become

SearchName = TEST

This would mean that you could search/filter on SearchName using only uppercase criteria.

This is done using the UPPERCASE() function. Hopefully this points you towards a solution.

1) you can use @ in the filter to have filter case-insensitive (like @Myfilter)
2) If you are using SQL and case-insensitive collation, it will not filter in a case-sensitive way
3) If you are searching through Find dialog, you can change the option there...
