How can I show in a report the balance of the client but different in years

balance as of when? you want to compare periods like?
1/1/2006 - 1/22/2006 = $100.99
1/1/2007 - 1/22/2007 = $111.99
1/1/2008 - 1/22/2008 = $222.99
Or are you talking what was their balance at EACH years end.
The question is not clear because hopefully the balances for previous years inv should be 0

I have two columns, the first column I have the balance of customer this year, in the next column have the balance of last year.
But my problem is to place side by side the first and second column relating to a customer.
