Released Doc. - new Line with G/L Acc. possible but no Item?

Hallo everyone,

can anyone explain to me, why it is in standard NAV 4.03 or 5 (probably also in other versions) possible to insert new lines of type G/L Account but not of type Item if the Document was already released? Is there any good explanation for this behavior?

Yes it allows you to add on charges and expenses related to the order which might not be realised until after posting etc. This allows you to retain the original order, if you want to add another item you must reopen it

you can also add item charges and resources.
