Problem in filtering the value of a flow field

Hi everybody.......

there is a field "Description" in table 5700 i.e. stockkeeping unit.
i have to filter some records from table 5700 on the basis of description...
For example, i have to filter all those items, whose description consisits. "test", i have written following code for this::

ItemSearch.RESET;
ItemSearch.CALCFIELDS(ItemSearch.Description);
ItemSearch.SETFILTER(ItemSearch.Description,'%1','*'+ItemDescription+'*');
IF ItemSearch.FIND('-') THEN;

But the above code is not working. pls help...........
Itemsearch is the record variable for record 5700

If you would search for the all items that contain in their description 'test', then you will have:

ItemSearch.SETFILTER(Description,'%1','*'+'test'+'*');

Or, if you want to implement this search fuction, you can create a form where the user enters a text that is retained in a text variable which is passed, say, to a function that filters the ItemSearch table based on that variable:

ItemSearch.SETFILTER(Description,'%1','*'+txtvar+'*'); //where txtvar is the user input.
