Tables are created in Ax and then synchronised into back end. It is a one way synchronisation ie from Ax into backend and not the other way around. So whatever changes you want to make to tables, do it from Ax.
The table properties are held in AOD. You can use UtilIdElements table which is essentially a view on the AOD to look into properties.
Thank very for your reply. I am very new to Ax. I have installed SQL 2000 SP4 and AX 4.0. in my toolbar, i am not able to select AOT as it is not highlighted. Please tell me how to highlight AOT and see the table properties.
Can you suggest any tutorial kind of thing to learn Ax..
If AOT is disabled, probably it means you have a demo license. If you are a partner, you can get a valid license from MS. If you are a customer you can get one from your partner.
As far as resources, a while ago I documented a list of resources for newbies in Ax. Please have a look at them. And if you haven't already got it, do please buy this book - http://www.microsoft.com/mspress/books/9225.aspx. It has been written by group of highly capable individuals from MS.
