Default Navision functionality isn't good enough for you?
Shift+F12 to open object designer, and then File->Import.

Very strange requirement. May I know why you your own import function. Navision import function is working fine. Just curious.

If you mean inside Navision then check the Object table's BLOB reference field and play around a bit with CALCFIELDS, INSTREAMS and OUTSTREAMS

You should definately not try or attempt to import NAV objects in any other way than through the regular NAV object designer.

    You should, you should not...
Have you tried that in the past Denster?
Did you meet any problems doing so? Care to explain why not trying?

I would love to know why the standard way is no good?

I think a reason for not trying is that you probably can't improve on it. It works fine, gets tested a zillion times a day by users around the world, why introduce your own custom code - which cannot possibly be tested as much as the current (working fine) functionality.

Why would you want to do this - just bored of things to program?
