Running 4.0 SP3 clients on 4.0 SP2 Native server.

Hi there,
Does anyone know what, if any, the implications are, if I want to replace the SP2 clients, running on a native server environment, with SP3 clients?
By opening the database locally with a SP3 client, this solves a printing issue that the customer has, but I don't want to introduce any new problems by doing this.
Will I need to upgrade the server software as well, or will the SP3 client be able to connect to it?
