NAS : Wait until user is finished and then try again

gunshygunshy Member Posts: 43
Hi to all,

Why NAS stop/restart when a user tried to post data? e.g. Prod. Order Line table cannot be changed because it is locked by another user.
After this, NAS prompts another message: Wait until user is finished and then try again. Your program license does not permit more users to work simultaneously.

Thanks

Can you please give us what the version and under what database? What Operating Sytem? Does this error show on every terminal.

I guess it is on the license. If not, its on the roles and permission

    Hi NaviDev,

Navision v4 SP3 and running on Microsoft Windows 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition with SP1 and MS SQL 2005 as back-end.
And also, we have 1 instance license for NAS.
These messages prompts in the server.

    Thanks

    Hello rodbernardo,

    Mabuti naman. Ikaw?
Dami palang pinoy dito :P .

Our partner said that there is a fix that can solve this problem and they will download it for us, but up to now there is no updates from them.
Currently we're in the stage of upgrading to nav 5.0 and hoping that this will be the solution to this problem (I hope this includes table locking problem :( ).

    Kamusta naman dyan sa Sydney?
  • rodbernardorodbernardo Member Posts: 34
    Thanks for immediate reply.

I should speak to our partner then as well for the fix and patches.

We are only at 3.7b version (were waiting for version 6.0).

Okay lang dito sa Sydney, winter, busy.
Yeah, it's good talking to pinoy here in mibuso.

    I'll pm you later.

    Thanks again.

    Hi Sendoh and Gun,

For the technical details for the upgrade we don't have the ideas.

    that is the other solution.

    They are soundly right.

Ang plano naman namin is only the summary data lang naman ang import namin sa new version, we don't need the ILE transaction history, as well sa VE and GLE.

Just like we are going to start very fresh, only extracting the summary data not the detail records.

    Cheers.
