HELP IF U CAN..
We are using Navision 3.60 build 14060. Since Monday 02.02.04 our servers kept on freezing every 20 or 30 minutes... Users could connect but after a while the servers freeze... all users were disconnected from there session.
As we were testrunning XPe on W2003 we moved all users from one farm to the other. Without any result because the problem stayed.
We have a call open at MS but they can't figure out what's causing our problem...
Somebody has a clue...
Any help is welcome.

Are you running more then 1 servers on your W2003 machine?
Does the whole server freeze or only the Navision server / service?
Does it unfreeze?
If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand."
As i've logged a call at MS Support they concluded that it was an error in Navision 3.60 ( Divide by Zero error) and that it would be fixed in 3.70.
But as we just upgraded to 3.60 a month a go i a'm not really conviced this would solve my problem.
We were able to work for more then a month & then suddenly the system freezes?
As for the freeze thing the server locks completely. No TSC possible anymore completely locked. ONly thing we can do is cold reboot.
After the reboot we get error messages telling us that Finsql.exe has generated errors. We also get the same error message from winlogon.
Anyway MS is looking at the problem but meanwhile our servers freeze like 2 or 3 times a day and kicks 100 users out of our system which is not funny at all....
If u got any clue please feel free to reply.
Have you checked that all users have permissions?
Hve you checked the size and usage on database?
in the meanwhile we have tried plenty of things.
We have reïnstalled the complete farm, tried all kind of print methodes.
Problem stays.
Scenario:
When you logon on the W2003 Servers trough Citrix MetaframeXP the Winlogon process freezes the farm.
If by miracle you get connected, once you try to print you get a finsql.exe error and the session closes.
Any clue , any issue is welcome.
Server performance, server disk space,... have been checked.
Any new information is more then welcome....
