I have up running SQL service with navision database on it, but the server itself wont show up on Navision clients server list when I'm trying to open it.
But if I type the server name manually on the servername textfield and browse databases it founds the database and I'm able to connect it.

Anyone had this problem?

The server lookup list (the Server virtual table) has never reliably shown all available servers - from 5.0 the behaviour has been changed to only look at local machine server instances, so explicitly is no longer showing network servers (exception: the one you are currently connected to, if any, is included).

do you run your database under SQL2005?
If yes, the Listed Servers will only displayed when running "SQL Server-Browser" service

In 5.0 they no longer search for SQL Instances. So you can only see local SQL instance.
