Hi all,
I have afew questions about FIXED ASSETS and would require your help,
A:
In Navision,is it possible to do depreciation culculations based on the
1.Remaining Life
2.Accelarated Cost Life
Or do I have to add new fields and hard-code them? :?
B:
I there a provision for Automatic Depreciation Culculation in Navision ?
If so,can one be able to view the following
1.Asset Life/Remaining Life
2.Residual Value
3.Prior year Depreciation
4.Cummulative Depreciation
5.Depreciation adjustments

I have a little experience with depreciating fixed assets.
The available depreciation calculation methods were not suitable for a given client so I had to hack the code to do what they required. The code I modified is in:
Codeunit 5611, Calculate Normal Depreciation, function CalcSLAmount.
This might be the spot for you to implement whatever depreciation scheme is required.
