Hi,

I am trying to schedule a job in NAV 5.00. I have entered the object to run in the Job Queue Entries but dont know how to start it.

This is something different from the NAV 4.00 where we could start the scheduler. Can anyone help me??

The NAV5 Job Queue requires a NAS to run. You can find a very good description of using it right here:

    hi,
The link provided was useful, but i am getting one warning in event viewer of NAS when the service is started. the error is given below:

The description for Event ID ( 20010 ) in Source ( CTDSK087-CLASSIC ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: The time is not valid.

And the codeunit i intended to run in the job queue is not running.

    thanks,

You can start codeunit 448 - Job Queue Dispacher manually and see which error occurs.

I'm trying to use "No. of Minutes between Runs" on the Job Queue Entry, but I'm not succeeding yet.. :?

The error I get is "The time is not valid". It occurs in codeunit 448.

    Anyone had the same experience?

The solution is quite simple. When using the "No. of Minutes between Runs" field, you have to fill "Starting Time" and "Ending Time"...

Would have been nice if 'they' made some checks in the process (like using TESTFIELD).
Or filled help in a helpfull way.
