Import .DAT file into DATAPORT facing problem!

Hi,
I have facing a dataport problem.
I try to import a simple .DAT file into Navision, but not successful. System will assign whole .DAT record into Navision 1st field.
Do you have any solutions for this case?

Application Environment
================
Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.00 W1
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Std. Edition with SP2
Windows Server 2003 Std. Edition With SP2
I try to import a simple .DAT file into Navision, but not successful. System will assign whole .DAT record into Navision 1st field.

Have you correctly set the dataport type? (Fixed - fixed field length, Variable - CSV like)

I have solved the problems.
The Dataport properties' default FieldSeparator is <,>.
I seldom change the default setting.
Just now i found that the .DAT file is used TAB to separate the field, so i just changed the FieldSeparator is <TAB>.
