Kitting Addon in NA 5.0

Hi,
I want to upgrade a 2.6 US client to NA .The client uses item Bom which us based on Bom components table.Now 5.0 US has replaced the item bo m functionality with kitting functionality which does not have a multilevel bom structure.
Does anyone have a clue about this
