Those are system tables, you need them to be able to run NAV. Why would you want to delete those tables?

These tables are specific for NAV 5.0. May be that you are restoring 5.0 backup in NAV 4.x version client?

How did you restored the previous times?
Can you post the error please?
does the system ask you to restore a pending bku?
(if i remember it was something like table 2000000... already exists)

    Suggestion:
try to restore on a new db and then restore again and see if you still encounter this problem.

my memory is a bit short, but if i remember, my bku crashed after creating these tables (or something like this), but it committed the creation of tables and when restoring, nav try to recreate these tables...

    1) How you created this DB
    2) Which version of client you are using to create backup

By using Nav4.0 SP3 i created the backup.

You cannot use NAV 4.00SP3 to create backup of NAV 5.0 DB. You need to export the needed objects into text file and merge them into your NAV 4.00SP3 database...

I have the same error. Nothing with a backup from 5.0 to 4.0SP3.

    What goes wrong?

You have to delete the tables manually on the SQL Server.

    First delete the tables.
Then delete the associated lines in the table "object"

It might be necessary to delete your fin.zup, too.

    Greetings!

I am having the same issue and was wondering if anyone made any progress on this.

I have a client that has a 75GB database, so create new db and restore not so easy. A user connected to the database using Jet reports after installing a 5.0 client. After opening excel and going to Jet, options, data sources, they updated the connection information and then selected company. They were moving from top to bottom so Navision client program folder was not set. Long wait with the hour glass running. They then received a message, Database successfully converted. The new tables now exist in the database and can not be removed. The database still opens using the 4.0 SP3 client but the back-up will not run now, error 'There are errors in the text conversion (text no. 1965-0 does not exist in the .stx file). Internal error: 47-1'.

I was able to resolve the issue and I thought I would pass it back to you in the event that others have the same issue. I found that if I deleted the fin.stx and fin.etx files in the ENU folder of the client install, C:\Program Files\Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision\client\ENU\ and then replaced them with the fin.stx and the fin.etx files from the newer version of the client install, in my case 5.0 SP1. This seems to resolve the issue since now the text no 1965-0 does exist. My back-up is now running without issue. I hope anyone that had this issue finds this information helpful.

Now I need to figure out why my ExpandIT is not working. When I click on test from the launch utility it opens Navision to the logon screen and then after a short period exits stating it couldn't find the Navision application window.
