Additional Granules & AEP

We are not under a current AEP with MS, But planning to buy few extra tables. Our MS partner, when gives the quote, adds 13% as AEP for this additional tables set.

Since we are not under a AEP for the total product, Is it absolutely necessary to pay for this additional 13% AEP when buying these extra granules/tables?

    If yes, What's point? I mean, what are benefit we are going to get by paying this extra?

    You will be entitled to free upgrades of the Navision versions/service pack/hotfix. You can import that in your database and start using.

    The only problem is that if the database is customized , the new objects will replace the current and you will need someone (most of the time, the partner) to manually upgrade and migrate the data :cry::cry:

    and the partner will charge you for the services he is giving for upgradation.
