How to inform user that a task is pending.. WorkFlow.

Hi All,
The client where I am working they want WorkFlow to be implemented, but they dont want E-Mail notification. They want the usual one .i.e when the user logs in the message shows how many tasks are pending.. But can I make this dynamics.
For Ex:
user1-->Now the Document that this user has created has gone for User2 for Authorization.
But currently the user2 is logged in. Then also he should get the message saying that he 1Task pending..

How can I do this??

do the coding most probably in codeunit 2 Company-Initialize see the functioncs in this codeunit here u can add ur code ok
