Replacing an out of the box object

Hi everybody,
We need to replace an out of the box report with a customized one. Since one cannot rename the customized report (due to the existing object), the only way to my knowledge is through import and export. This however does not eliminate the existing object ID problem.
By any chance, is there a way how to change the ID of an object to that of an out-of-the-box one prior to import or export?

2) Open the properties of whole report (go to new line in DataItem table of the report, to be on empty line, press Shift+F4)
3) Change the ID to new ID of the report
4) Change Name to some new name
5) Save the object. It will be saved under new ID with new name...
