MBS NAV 4.2 (SQL 2005) - SQL server connections problems

Some clients cannot more access to the server after a net fault.
When opening the client ->File - Database and login, this message appears: "Impossibile to find Server 'servername'". Every setting is correct.
I have restarted the server, router and switches, clients and also reinstalled the Nav client without success.
Someone can help me?

1) Check the MS SQL Server if it is correctly running (look into services, look into Event viewer for possible errors and messages, start the Management Studio and try to connect...)
2) Try to ping the SQL server machine from remote PC0 -
